Description
A pink rose soaks up the morning sun in a backyard garden in the hills of West Virginia. This painting was inspired by my own roses that grow in my garden behind my house. They always lift my spirits when they start to bloom in the spring and I wanted to express the brightness and glow they evoke when the sun hits them just right in the late morning.
The original currently hangs in the office of the Catholic Diocese in Wheeling, West Virginia. The priest who purchased it was very happy to bring some joyful color to the overly neutral tones of the offices, and I’m happy to finally be able to offer prints so you can enjoy this work as well.
